Corona Virus is being heavily featured currently in the news.

To that end here is a little note from our Owner – Mr Keith Richardson

We would like to let you know are doing everything in our power to protect your health & well-being whilst visiting our hotels. All of our staff are regularly washing their hands in hot soapy water as government guidelines recommend. They have been instructed to minimise personal contact through welcome handshakes and continental style greetings. We would also like to GUARANTEE that if we are advised to close and are forced into a situation where you would not be able to enjoy your booked holiday with us we will be offering full no quibble refunds.

Stay safe out there and we hope to see you in one of our amazing seaside locations soon.

We are currently open and trading as normal across our estate, but if you do feel unwell or present any symptoms prior to your booked visit to us please give us a call on 0800 0052244 and we will advise on a case by case basis.

We are closely monitoring the situation daily and we are taking extra precautionary measures.

These include

  • A hand-wash station for guest use on entering and exiting the hotel.
  • Deep-cleaning procedures in all of our hotel bedrooms, public areas and restaurants.
  • Together with strict, regular hygiene checks throughout all departments of our hotels.
  • Following Government Guidelines around social distancing, reducing furniture in restaurants and public areas and being mindful when socially interacting.

It is business as usual across our Estate and we are fully committed to offering flexibility with any existing bookings wherever possible allowing movement of the dates of bookings up to 12 months.

We understand that many of our guests have concerns about travelling and we can reassure you about any travel plans that you may have when coming to visit us.

  • Bar service also collection ordered from your room
  • Public areas remain open but to residents only and in accordance to social distancing guidelines set out but the government.

We will be posting updates to our social media accounts in due course and endeavour to contact guests that had bookings with us in the effected areas.

** Update **  Tuesday 24/3/20 11:00am

With further Government guidance now in place, we have made the hard choice to close all Richardson Hotels for a minimum of the next 3 weeks.

We have a dedicated team of over 200 staff that have stuck by us through this uncertain time and we would like to thank each and every one of them.

We aim to be fully back operational again by the 20th April 2020, pending any further government updates and are exploring ways our hotels may be used by various government organisations looking for space.

So, unfortunately, we will not be able to be accept any new bookings or arrivals.

We are currently housing some key workers which we will however not be displacing as this would cause undue hardship to the individuals concerned but we will be protecting our staff and patrons using our social distancing procedures until their departure.

Once all guests have exited, our sites will be closed to the public, but we hope to be able to welcome you back through our doors as soon as we physically can.

If you are a corporate client in the key worker sector and are struggling to house any of your employees please feel free to call our reservations team, who will continue to work on 0800 005 2244 through this period.

We have already got some plans in place for life after this situation so stay tuned, stay safe and stay indoors where possible and if you have any questions or queries please call 0800 005 2244.
