Trebah Gardens

Trebah Gardens, just a short drive from the hotel, is a stunning sub-tropical haven.  Open all year round, you can enjoy these gardens during any season.  There’re four miles of footpath that wind around some of the most exotic blooms in the county and eventually lead to a secluded beach on the Helford River.  There is an adventure play area, children’s trails and special events all year round to keep the little ones entertained.

 

The Eden Project  

The world famous Eden Project offers everything from exotic fauna and flora to music concerts to winter ice skating.  Open all year round this wonderful attraction is a ‘must see’ for any visitor to the South West.  The hotel offers discounted tickets and the ability to queue jump for guests buying through The Falmouth.

 

The International Sea Shanty Festival  

Sea shanties may have been created in the South West but they are a global phenomenon now.  With Falmouth’s maritime history, there’s no better place to host a festival of this kind.  One weekend in June, shanty singers from all over the world gathers to celebrate this traditional style of singing.  It’s a wonderful atmosphere with friendly, enthusiastic crowds gathering around the Quayside and Square where the stages are set.

 

Falmouth Week  

Falmouth Week is held every August and is a major attraction for locals and visitors alike. With its origins in a local sailing regatta dating back to 1837, the Week has evolved into not only a major sailing competition in the SW but also an opportunity for sailors and landlubbers to enjoy the many daytime and evening attractions in the town.

 

The Falmouth Oyster Festival 

This festival takes place every October and, as you might imagine, is to celebrate the oyster.  You’ll be able to try oysters of every description and with every accompaniment.  Events take place in and around Falmouth’s Events Square and include cooking demonstrations, live much, arts and crafts stalls.
