4 – 13 August 2017

Falmouth Week provides a racing programme to challenge the most competitive sailors. However, it manages to retain it’s ‘fun and friendly’ feel which also attracts families and the less experienced.  The regatta is organised by the Port of Falmouth Sailing Association. Originally a series of independent sailing regattas with modest Shoreside activities for competitors, their families, and visitors, it is now a major event in the town’s calendar with something for everyone to enjoy. See the sailing regatta page for more information.

Red Arrows

One of the world’s finest aerobatic display team, the Red Arrows, will be returning to Falmouth. They are famed for their high-speed aerial manoeuvres. They have now come to Falmouth multiple times of the last few years.

The news that the Red Arrows will be performing once against over Falmouth Harbour on August 9th at 6.15pm has officially been announced

Events Square at Falmouth Week is back with an amazing schedule of daytime and evening entertainment. It all kicks off on Friday with the Pink Wig Night and continues with world class music and fun daytime activities, including the University of Exeter’s Science in the Square. The actions sports tour and the dragon boat racing that will be taking place during the week.

If you are looking for the unique opportunity to watch BMX and MTB jump riding or even just get on a bike yourself, guided by the riders themselves this is your chance to try it. As for the traditional Chinese style boat racing, one can choose to watch from afar or get on one and be in the centre of the action. This year the 80’s/90’s headline act is yet to be announced. Last year Jason Donovan headlined the show. This is the ultimate party for live performances from 80’s and 90’s DJ’s but also for the extravagant dress code of 80’s and 90’s icons.

On the other hand, if a walk around the town is what you are looking for, the carnival party will be showing live music of soul sensations around the area, so you can just enjoy your tour whilst listening to music. During Falmouth Week over 80,000 extra visitors come to the town compared with the other weeks in August.
